DragonFly Ranch is a tiny place in north central Texas, where the small-town lifestyle still applies, where most of the work on maintaining the place is done by me personally, and where it's OK for friends and family to come and crash for extended periods.

It is also home to a motley crew of accumulated quadrupeds - currently consisting of the core group ( 5 dogs, 2 horses, 2 cats ) plus an odd armadillo, a few coyotes, and a pasture full of beef cattle. Not to mention our ubiquitous squadrons of dragonflys. We have an open-door policy around here, so whatever critter shows up and acts like they live here... well... we don't kick 'em out.

Did you know that the female is correctly called a damselfly? And that the male lands with 4 wings extended as in flight, whereas the female relaxes with her wings swept back. (I guess the guys are expecting to take off again, and the gals are pretty much settled in for the duration.)
